This article is four of seven in Phase I of a sort of novel, the “Pentagon of Pandemonium”, which outlines the history behind an entire universe of lore that I’ve been creating since seventh grade. (Back in 2022, way before this blog started!) I’ve only posted one article about the complex world of Magicae since I founded Inside A Wandering Mind, when I was a freshman in high school. At the time, I was given an assignment to write a short story in High School English, and I chose to write about something that was part of the lore. Since then, it’s just been something I’ve spent my free time doing— finally, after years of working, my friend Tristan and I have decided to work together to create a novel on the newest additions to our world lore that we’ve been obsessing over for years. Chapter 4 (1969) – The Revolutionary
Some people need to learn their lesson. Think back to history, which has extended forever, and the themes that it’s brought, and the lessons we’ve learned…
The following text is a transcript provided by the Greenian Daily Newspaper based in Greenia City, District 4, of our new Chief, Vairgreene Zelena, and his inauguration speech as he was given the official ceremonial inauguration into office just yesterday morning at a crowd in front of the Greenian Library of Scholars, estimated at around 10,000 persons in attendance. Bolded on this transcript are the critiques of political activist Tobias Vergen, who is a Greenian Council Scholar prominent for opposing Vairgreene’s policies.
Our country is at the worst point it has ever been. For decades, our nation has had leaders who have made, quite frankly, some of the most terrible decisions that history could have offered. They have fed you, the Greenian People, lies. They have told you the country is growing when it has not. They have told you that our economy is thriving while scarcity has increased by 8.5% on average for all goods in the previous decade. They have spread false truths about their positive intentions for Greenian citizens while implementing policies that have deliberately sabotaged Greenia’s powerful position on the world stage. Think about the actions of the previous administration; the Einklang Autonomy Act of 1947, which the Entertainment League ranked as one of Magicae’s most controversial acts. Then there was the Froggolith Blockade of 1968, in which our stupid, naive ruler agreed to Lord Froggolith’s insane trade demands, causing the price of Polished Azul Gemstones to skyrocket by 121.4% in eight hours. Is this the maximum potential for Greenia’s future?
These numbers are a load of bull. If you actually do some genuine research into this, you’ll see that his “evidence” is poor support for the so-called vision of “needing to restore Greenia from its damaged state.” Dozens of neutral sources (emphasis on the “neutral”) already said that it’s not the previous administration’s fault for any of the recent economic decline. They’ve done all the math to prove it. We citizens need to be careful of the numbers this guy’s throwing around. He’s getting them all from companies that he controls himself.
There are quite a few people, I think, who should be blamed for our country’s misfortunes. The most direct of my accusations are towards, of course, Tobias Vergen and his irresponsible band of rebels that he likes to call a “movement of the people”. Over the past few years, they’ve taken actions that our government has not begun to address until today— a new chapter in our country’s history.
Our political actions haven’t broken any legal rules; we’ve made sure of that. And we have a couple thousand members, so I wouldn’t just call us completely irrelevant.
Under the new Zelena Administration, Vergen’s political activities shall never take precedence within our country again. There will be no more harm done to our country by such a corrupt authority.
I have not done anything harmful. I have dozens of programs and fundraisers that I’ve made to help impoverished people groups, like Miners and Gravita People, which he is attacking in this speech. You can’t call a man “corrupt” for simply wanting to help the poor.
In addition, I must make my statement towards the peoples who I have long considered and called out as the “parasites of Magicae.” It is a provoking term, many opponents will say, and one that strips me of my credibility as a leader. I will say this plainly; it is not an offensive view of the Subterranean Race. It is a truthful, honest one. For those against it, they simply refuse to acknowledge the facts and evidence behind it. Since the 1940s, the Frimon Dynasty has begun usurping the Greenian nation of its esteemed position in Magicae that it truly deserves. Previous leaders and Tobias Vergen as well as other party members have all started organizations to help develop the Miner Society’s infrastructure and economic development. These traitorous acts include things such as giving economic aid to support Miner Technology, granting Miner Society exclusive trade deals, the Green-Miner Metallurgy Deal, which, let me add, caused a net loss of 22% of our GDP, among a long list of other things.
Any arguments that this man says about Miners being inherently inferior have all been scientifically disproven. The way he’s talking about things… It’s like the Miner Society is some evil parasite that wants to rid us of all our power and that they’re attempting to compete with the Greenians or something. They’ve only been improving the quality of life for their own citizens in their own country for the Transit Tower— I think Zelena’s saying this here because he’s insecure and afraid of letting the Miners reach the same level of development as Greenia currently sees today.
Let’s not forget the other economic hardships we had to face because of our relations with the backwater Miner Society. When they requested for help with dealing with their Crystal Beings Relocation Mission, we ended up losing 13% of our Society Equitable Fund. There was also the issue with Tobias Vergen’s Miner Society Economic Stability and Growth Plan, which completely ignored our citizens’ needs by allowing the Miner Society to take control of rich Cyclin Crystal deposits in their region, causing prices for Processed Cyclin to rise by 78% since last year for our citizens.
The “Equitable Fund” is used to support developing nations in their infrastructure and economic development, yet he’s framing it as a bad thing if we’re using it to support our neighbors. This is completely illogical. Additionally, the “Processed Cyclin” inflation is wrongfully attributed to the Miner Society and me. Recent research has disproved these claims, as the rising prices were from the Einklang Transportational Harbor being shut down during a period of internal disarray, causing many nations to be depleted of their Cyclin Crystal imports. There are so many holes in his arguments; I just hope people don’t actually believe this.
Now… Citizens of Greenia. You may be wondering, what will the Zelena Administration do to improve the lives of Greenians all across our nation? It’s quite simple.
We plan to institute programs that will eliminate the things weighing Greenia down. First off, the parasites of Magicae. We have “supported” them for long enough with the assistance of my poor predecessors. It’s time we get a return on our investment. We plan to impose taxes of 40% on all Greenian vassal states very shortly. Any nation that does not comply will be punished severely, which may include a strategic military operation. This will help bolster the Greenian economy, elevating many of our Greenians to higher standards of living. To do this, we will establish the Greenian Trade Association to collect all dues and revenues from our surrounding neighbors. Massive amounts of revenue will come into our Greenian Treasury, enriching our Greenian citizens greatly.
We also plan to increase regulations on immigration and customs within Greenia. These people are seeking to change the original Greenian core culture, and to thus weaken its position on the Magicae stage. The days of the “melting pot” are gone. For too long have the parasites of Magicae, among others, have infiltrated our sweet green pastures. They are a national security threat. Anyone who is not a naturalized citizen of Greenia will be deported to their respective nations immediately, without question. We will be instating a policy very shortly.
I’ve heard rumors about a “Secret Police” of sorts forming within Greenia, but I’ve yet to see anything actually come of it. Hopefully this guy is just bluffing, since massive deportations will cause much of our workforce to disappear, plummeting Greenia from being one of the major economic powerhouses to a weakened state with little economic power.
And finally, we will construct a more powerful military than our current organization has. We will again be a nation of great promise, just as we did years ago. All of our enemies will refuse to fight us, our borders will expand beyond what previous generations ever thought possible. For too long, we have allowed ourselves to rust while our adversaries took advantage of our weakness. That ends today. Every resource, capital, and citizen will align towards the goal of absolute security.
History won’t remember the cautious or the meek, but the ones who set the world in motion. My administration, the Zelena administration, will be remembered for our changes.

Above all, as your chief, Vairgreen Zelena, I vow to liberate our nation as we push towards success. It is time for Greenia to revert to its core principles. We will become a driving force in the Magicae economy, toppling even the most economically advanced, like Einklang. Our state will be cleansed of its bile that lurks within the depths: the vigilantes, the rebels, and the scum of society. Our ambition is high, and it won’t stop, even if we face hurdles around us.
Greenians, after all that we’ve been through, we have finally arrived at the peak. Let nothing stand in our way. Together, we will revolutionize this nation like before, but more. We won’t be conquered, intimidated, or broken by any nation. We will not fall, or let such leeches as Miner Society take advantage of our goodwill. We are the nation of Greenia. The future is ours to dominate! (applause.)
Disgusting political slop to foster a sense of camaraderie and community with the Greenians. Still aimed at criticizing Miner Society, as expected. He talks about Greenia like we’ve descended into something poor, economically struggling, and weakened, when our standard of living has increased over the years, and economic inequality has decreased by 43% in the past five years. Notice that he’s only focused on the negatives of our country in the past few years. That’s how dictators wipe their hands clean.
