I love writing.
Okay, it’s more complicated than just three words, but it’s a quick way to start. I’ve enjoyed writing for years, and that passion is still alive as I’m starting my Freshman Year in high school.
The first time I was really into writing (As far as I can remember) was in first grade. Every few days, we’d be given an activity to write books about anything we wanted, and every time we finished one, we would read it out to the whole class. Most of our books were something along the lines of Guess the Color or How to Count in a language besides English (Give us a break, we were only six).
Around the same time, my 4-year-old brother Casey created a character named “Alerk” (I seriously don’t remember how we got that name). We spent hours making up stories about him, most of which we wrote on paper and lost, but the original story was something about him being hungry and eating his mom. We didn’t know what cannibalism was. In those days we just wrote what came into our head. Then we created all these other characters — Coosay, Seeko, Yucusai, and Coosan… don’t ask how those names came out. I remember in third grade, me and my brother would sometimes stay back in my 3rd Grade teacher’s classroom and we would draw comics with the teacher’s son about Coosay.
Then, my friends and I had the idea to create an Alerk Movie in 4th grade, and that pretty much was the only thing we cared about for the next two years. I don’t remember entirely what the movie was about, but that probably was because the whole group that was making this movie was just a chaotic hellhole. Everyone kept arguing because we had our ideas and we kept adding new things so the story was going nowhere. This was a really good way for me to work on my creativity, we achieved virtually nothing in those two years.
The Alerk Movie Project pretty much died once COVID-19 took over. I was in sixth grade at this point, and so I began to look for other ideas that I could turn into books. I’ve come up with many ideas throughout middle school that I’ll show here. There are many of them, but some ideas have come to me recently and I am very eager to begin writing and to post on this blog.
Fictional writing will certainly be a big part of this blog. I’ll also write things about any interesting events going on in my life from time to time, as well as stories that I’ve had because I hang around with a very interesting group of people. Life is only going to get more exciting from here now that I’m starting high school.
If you just want to hear about my life, get to know more about me, you might want to stay here, because every once in a while you might get to read about the juicy school drama or about what this one person did over the weekend, or something along those lines.
Have a good day!
